Happy Tails
Every animal that is adopted to a loving 'forever home' is a success story in our eyes. We love to hear from families about how their newest family member is settling in. If you would like to share your success story please email us along with a photo.
Miss Molly
Miss Molly chose her owners as her new 'pets' a couple of months ago, Since she has been out of the "big smoke" life on the farm for her has been happy and fulfilling for all who have come in contact with her! When she isn't driving the tractor around the paddocks or sleeping on her comfy bed, Miss Molly can be found playing with her little brother from another mother, Bruce the border collie. She may even let you throw the ball for her a few hundred times! The change in location for her has been great and as 'pets' her owners are very happy to have her as their boss!
Rosie & Millie
Three year olds Rosie (tabby) and Millie (supposedly sisters!) were adopted in May 2008 and didn't take long to find their bearings in their new home. Between shredding paper, tearing around madly and pouncing on each other, they do occasionally find time to have a nap (often together, as pictured), and shower affection on their owner with cuddles, tummy rubs and hair licking. "We couldn't have asked for two happier, more contented companions. Thank you RSPCA."
Willow & Cottontail

Willow (left) has settled into his new home with his big sister Cottontail. They are now inseparable and love to cuddle together. Willow has become the perfect house bunny and loves a treat of celery
Jinda & Max
Jindabyne was adopted in January, 1998, and Max in September, 1999. Jindabyne was approximately 3 months and Max was approixmately 5 months when they were adopted. They have been a joy in their owners lives and moved from the ACT to the United States in 2002. They enjoy traveling around the US. They are both happy and healthy. Jindabyne is now 11 and Max is 9.
This photo of Jindabyne (nicknamed Jinda) is from May of 2008 at Acadia National Park in the State of Maine. The photo of Max is in his backyard in State of Virginia.
Poppy and BoB

Poppy was adopted as a puppy in 2008, and is pictured here with his feline friend BoB. BoB is very tolerant of his sometimes over-excited 'sister' who is convinced he is another dog and jumps all over him, chewing his ear and biting his tail egging him on to have a romp. BoB gives as good as he gets, but is never aggressive and just slinks away when it all gets too much. This is a picture of them during some quiet time.
Millie

Millie was adopted in May 2008, auspiciously on the day of Million Paws Walk. At first she was very shy but has turned in to the sweetest & most loyal little princess who loves to use her big brother as a pillow.
Charlie
Charlie's owners describe him as a 'little champion'. His owners say "He's grown into a 7kg big furry cat, but is just so very cute. He just lounges around. He has the best life and he really has given us so much pleasure and will do for many years to come. I know you probably get a lot of these emails, but I just wanted to say thank you for all your good work. If it wasn't for the RSPCA we wouldn't have Charlie in our lives and who knows where little Charlie would have ended up. We can't imagine life without him". Lucky Charlie!
Coffee & Komi

The proud new owner of two little rabbits Coffee (brown) and Komi (dwarf) says they have settled in happily to the household since they were adopted in June. "Coffee settled in immediately with lots of hugs, running around and playing with everything he could get his paws on. Komi is still pretty shy, but she has lost the anxiety she had when we adopted her and follows Coffee closely. These two are friends for life with their forever family and are getting along lovely! Thank you very much for saving them so they can come live with me".

Paris
Paris' new owner says: "Well, she certainly is an inquisitive cat, isn't she? She loves sitting in our big, sun-drenched windows and watching the neighbourhood go by. Lately she's been desperate to go outside, and when she sees one of us go out to hang out laundry, she sits at the screen door and meows her discontent at being left inside.
She's become quite the little princess, and we definitely spoil her (even though we shouldn't). She still loves to ride on your shoulders, but we're trying to get her to enjoy being held as well. She's become quite vocal when she doesn't like something; say, when she tries to sleep on your throat and you push her off! She definitely thinks that everyone should be working towards her comfort and enjoyment of life.
Everyone who has met her has said she looks like an alien...and then they've promptly fallen in love with her! She is used to meeting new people, and loves sneaking into their laps for pats. The other day, we cooked turkey, and she even stole a little bit off the table.
Anyway, we just wanted to say thank you so much for our beautiful cat, she is enjoying life and lots of love and attention".

Kiara
Kiara was on the 'short list' to be adopted by her new family, and when they returned from an overseas holiday, they were delighted to find that she was still waiting for her forever home. Kiara has so much character! She is playful and loves attention but on her terms, much like any other cat. She has been a wonderful addition to her new family and they couldn't be happier. By the looks of the photo, neither can she.

Terje
Terje (formerly Dougall) was adopted from RSPCA ACT in 2005. When his owners originally started looking for a dog we wanted one that was intelligent, loving and active. When they saw Terje they immediately fell in love with the skinny dog behind the fence. He was six months old when he went home, and has since moved throughout NSW a couple of times before settling into a house in WA. He enjoys an enormous yard, walks twice a day, ball games whenever his owners are outside, and the comfort of his owners bed every night.
Kimba
Although Kimba is struggling to understand that she isn't a tiny lap dog, she is fitting in beautifully with her new family. She adores the 2 small toddlers, gets to sleep with her 'mum' (and snore terribly), enjoys two walks a day. Kimba is spoilt rotten and loved very much.
Xavier & Champ

Xavier (Siamese) and Champ (ginger domestic short hair) certainly enjoy their new life in this multi-pet household, especially with the very tolerant canine Charlie!
Maggie

Maggie is an inquisitive cat who brings much laughter and enjoyment into her new home, and her owners love her very much. She enjoys spending time basking in the sun, and spending time with her feline companion T.C.
Benny

Benny the bunny is a sweet sociable rabbit who enjoys being around people. He is house trained, and spends his time following his owner around, watching tv, or watching the computer.
Dougal

Dougal is the sweetest dog his new family could have ever hoped for. He now rules the couch, enjoys his walks, loves his food and is spoiled beyond belief.
