Meet Pam

“My first time dealing with RSPCA was in Adelaide, I went there with my husband to adopt a pet. I wanted to bring home 20 animals but my husband very firmly said no, so we left with nothing. The next day my husband went back to the RSPCA without my knowledge and brought home the ugliest mutt, who turned out to be a gorgeous dog.

Over the years all my animals have come from the RSPCA. I just wanted to give money several times to help the RSPCA. I then decided to leave a percentage of my Will to RSPCA ACT. Over the years, as I began to do more and more work as a volunteer for RSPCA ACT, I have decided to leave my estate to RSPCA ACT.

I see the effort put in by the behavioural trainers, veterinary staff and all other staff members involved.

To see all the types of animals that come through and the long-term effort put into the animals, whether it be weeks or months for it to be available for adoption. Rather than thinking it is easier to just put the animal down.

I like the way you can win animals confidence back and restore their faith in human nature. RSPCA ACT gives them every last chance to be able to be put up for adoption.
Pam and Missy
I can see that the perseverance and the time is more important than the money to look after the animals.

What a difference a gift in a Will can make, little or large.

There is so much that goes into rehabilitating an animal and putting them up for adoption.

I love all animals, but particularly dogs and cats. They remove stresses out of our daily lives, you can just disappear into a different world when your pet is around.

Animals just give so much love and trust and humans should return that love.

As an animal lover I know RSPCA ACT gives every animal the best possible chance to find their forever home. I am proud to be a supporter of this organisation.”
