Participant registration8:15am – 12.00pmManaging event registrations in a fast-paced environment. Including taking payments, checking tickets and organising attendees.
Set up/pack down

07.00am – 8.45am

2.00pm – 3.30pm

Assisting staff to set up equipment and stalls for the event. Will include heavy lifting.

 

Dog games8.30am – 2.00pmRunning 1 of 3 dog activity games. Hand out prizes. Experience with dogs preferable.
Agility9.30am – 2.00pmRunning the small dog agility course within dog games. Experience with dogs required.
Dog Fundraising Activities9.30am – 2.00pmAssist with sales and activities (dog lick paintings and dog paw paintings). Also needing artists for Poorly Drawn Pets (live drawings).
RSPCA ACT retail, merch and op shop8.45am – 2.00pmAssist with sale of goods and merchandise in retail stall.
RSPCA ACT Raffle8.45am – 2.00pmAssist with selling raffle tickets.
RSPCA ACT information hub8.45am – 2.00pmAssist with answering enquiries at various RSPCA ACT information hub (foster, adoptions, commercial services etc…)
Maintenance8.00am – 2.00pmAssisting to maintain grounds and water supplies. May involve heavy lifting.Take photos and videos at event. Provide files to RSPCA ACT marketing team. Must have own equipment.
Fence security

8.00am – 11.00am

 

Directing participants to the registration line and making sure people are paying the required fee.
Stage assistance8.45am - 2.00pmAssist with activities running on stage and keeping activity times to runsheet. Activities include performances, competitions, Walk of Hope, Walk of Fame and more.
Roaming volunteers10.00am - 12.00pmThis role includes handing out showbags and flyers.
Photographer9.30am - 12.30pmTake photos and videos at event. Provide files to RSPCA ACT marketing team. Must have own equipment.
Walk of Hope9.30am - 12.30pmCollect adoptable dog or puppy from Shelter and transport to Patrick White Lawns. Bring dog on stage for Walk of Hope interview. Set up in RSPCA ACT information hub and meet potential adopters with staff. Potentially do the MPW walk. Please note we will not be able to confirm this role until the week of the event as this depends on which dogs are able to attend.
