RSPCA ACT Board Member
Robert McMahon is a visiting academic at the Research School of Management and, from 2018, a Visiting Fellow at the Crawford School of Public Policy, at the Australian National University. He has extensive experience in governance and legislation, recently finishing as Assistant Secretary of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, where he was the lead architect for the legislation and governance arrangements of the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Robert was the inaugural general manager of the NDIS Launch Agency headings its Governance and Public Affairs Division.
Robert has extensive experience in campaign communications and issues management, and headed the Commonwealth Government Communications Unit.
He holds degrees in Economics, Law and Management, and is eligible for admission as a legal practitioner of the ACT Supreme Court.
Robert and his partner are the proud owners (guardians) of two cats and a dog. He is a life member of the NSW RSPCA.
