Dog of the Week – Chappie
Chappie the American Bulldog
Here’s a genuine opportunity to adopt a new best friend who has spades of character and can light up a household with his charm.
He’s already what you’d call a great pet. Loves a bit of attention, will follow your lead and can be walked easily, loves his toys and food.
Chappie came to us as a stray boy, but he’s clearly had some kind of training because he takes directions and responds well to food-motivated commands. He guards his toys too which is adorable. Don’t worry, he won’t snap at you if you try and take one, just know that they’re his, not yours!
Chappie just needs a family now. He’ll need to be housetrained but again, we’ve seen how quick he is to learn things. Come and visit Chappie, you love him!
Rabbit of the Week – Apple
Apple the Mini Lop
Apple is the sweetest thing, and you’ll love her. She’s what we call a ‘Twilight’ adoption. She’s nearly seven years old and just needs to be loved as she enjoys the later years of her life.
She’s just adorable, she’s housetrained, cuddly and loves a good scratch behind the ear. Getting picked up isn’t her thing but if you want an indoor companion to hang out with and relax, this girl is perfect for you.
Ideally we’d like to see a family who’ve owned a rabbit in the past adopt Apple. Having an existing pet might be a much for her as well. She’s on medication for arthritis but loves the flavour, it’s easy.
Come and visit Apple, she’s really a sweet older girl who deserves to spend her twilight years in a warm home, not in our shelter.
