Finance Assistant – Vet Clinic

Part Time 

RSPCA ACT is seeking a suitably experienced/qualified individual to support the Executive Manager of Finance and the RSPCA ACT Veterinary Clinic. This hands-on operational role involves processing financial transactions and data related to the veterinary services provided by RSPCA ACT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Executive Manager of Finance and the Veterinary Clinic.
  • Process financial transactions and manage data related to veterinary services.

Requirements:

  • Accounts qualification or relevant experience in a clinic environment.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office and specialized databases like EzyVet and Salesforce-based CRMs.
  • Experience with MYOB or similar applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with diverse individuals.
  • High motivation and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to perform repetitive data entry tasks with consistent accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and reliability.
  • Experience using a Point-of-Sale system is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a not-for-profit environment is advantageous.

This position may include limited weekend work at events. Additional hours and duties may be requested during peak times.

Salary and Conditions: Salary and conditions of employment are in line with the Clerks-Private Sector-Award 2020, Level 2-3 depending on experience, plus super.
