RSPCA ACT is the leading authority in animal care and protection in the ACT:

  • We prompt new legislation where required
  • We operate animal care, veterinary and adoption facilities

RSPCA ACT is the biggest animal shelter in the ACT. We run a full-time animal cruelty inspectorate. On a daily basis we engage with high numbers of people in our community. We enjoy substantial media coverage and have high engagement on our social media channels and our website, giving us the opportunity to connect further with our community. 

To successfully continue our mission - to prevent cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection – we build strong relationships and enjoy support from members of the Canberra community. This ensures animals (and their humans) requiring RSCPA ACT services are cared for. 

We are seeking further opportunities to extend our reach and to promote RSPCA ACT and its services via our partnership program.  RSPCA ACT believes that one size does not fit all. We take the time to collaborate with our partners and tailor our annual packages for mutual benefits.

Workplace Giving

At any one time there could be up to 200 animals in care at RSPCA ACT and with no secured year-on-year funding, it can be difficult to plan and ensure a sustainable future for vulnerable, in-need animals.

Enclosure Partnership

Every year, abandoned, abused and neglected dogs come into our shelter needing help. These animals stay in our enclosures while they are rehabilitated, treated and retrained before they find their forever home.

Give to Get Them Home is an exciting digital ‘telethon’ style fundraiser, supported by the community. It’s brought to life by our matching donors and corporates who help us double every dollar given (until our target is reached).
