Here’s what you need to know about volunteering with RSPCA ACT:

  • Minimum age 18

If you are under 18 you can get involved with RSPCA ACT through our education and School Holiday Programs. And please apply to volunteer when you're old enough, we would love to have you!

  • We do not offer work experience for students

At the moment RSPCA ACT is unable to meet the requirements or level of oversight involved, work experience or Duke of Edinburgh. Depending on your requirements, we may be able to offer work placements opportunities for those studying veterinary medicine or animal care. If you’d like more information, please email volunteers@rspca-act.org.au

  • Applicants must provide a copy of a current Working With Vulnerable People card

Volunteering Opportunities:

Volunteers are vital to the work RSPCA ACT does. Without the commitment, dedication and passion of people like you we could not care for the abandoned, neglected and surrendered animals coming into our shelter.
