Small Animals & Exotics cleaner
The role of a Small Animals & Exotics cleaner is critical for the wellbeing and happiness of a variety of animals including, but not limited to, rabbits, birds, chickens, reptiles, guinea pigs, rats, ferrets, mice, and occasionally farm animals. This role is to assist staff in making sure the living arrangements for all our animals are pleasant, safe and sanitary.
Shift times:
- Small Animals & Exotics cleaner 8:30-10:30
- Small Animals & Exotics socialiser 13:30-15:30
Key Duties:
- Cleaning of enclosures, aviaries, yards and carriers
- Replenishing water, food, bedding and toys
- Washing of equipment, food bowls, enrichment items and toys
- Laundry tasks inclusive of washing/drying/folding
- Handling of a variety of animals
