RSPCA ACT Board Member
Paul is a founding Director of Callida Consulting, a professional services firm operating in Canberra that focuses on the Commonwealth and ACT governments. His background includes over fourteen years experience with the Australian Federal Police where he worked in a variety of financial and audit positions; and a period as Partner with Oakton’s responsible for the Assurance and Risk Management service line. He was also a Partner with Professional Services firm Acumen Alliance responsible for leading the Audit and Assurance Team.
His area of expertise covers a wide range of activities, but Paul’s interest is focussed on improving corporate governance arrangements across the public sector and not for profit sector. He has a particular interest in indigenous and social policy affairs and has completed a number of reviews in this area.
Paul has extensive experience working on not-for-profit boards including the Canberra Police and Citizens Youth Club at a time when the Board undertook significant improvements to the financial management arrangements and the development of a more strategic approach to planning and operations. He has been on the Board of the Adoptive Families Association (responsible for increasing revenue and for introducing more robust financial management arrangements), the Canberra Police and Youth Citizens Club and an external member of the Marymead Audit Committee.
Paul also enjoys spending time and having short walks with the family Maltese shitzu cross, Missy, a long-term member of the family.
