The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals ACT is Australia’s prominent animal welfare organisation. We provide a strong voice for animals experiencing cruelty and neglect. The RSPCA ACT is committed to the care and welfare of animals, providing extensive professional facilities, including a fully equipped veterinary hospital with dedicated staff to care for animals.

 

There are opportunities to join us on either a part time or casual basis that may require some weekends and on-call work.  We also welcome New Grads to apply.

  • Appropriate Veterinary Science qualification with registration for Veterinary’s Board of ACT.
  • A great work ethic

  • Experience in not-for-profit would be an advantage
  • Experience with wildlife would be an advantage

Pre-employment Health Declaration

You are seeking employment with RSPCA ACT. We attach the role’s job description. The role would require, amongst other things for you to: 

  •  Sit or stand for lengthy periods 
  • Use a work computer; and 
  • Effectively communicate to people on the phone or in person.
  • Be in contact with a variety of different species of animals that may expose you to infectious disease, bites and scratches.
