Our pets are part of the family so it’s great you’re including them on your family vacation. Some tips to make the holiday as fun and safe as possible for your pets are:
- Make sure your pet is up to date with tick, flea and other vaccinations and treatments.
- Make sure your destination includes a safe and approved place for your pet to be comfortable.
- Pack sufficient food, snacks and enrichment for your pet (snuffle mats are easy to pack and won’t take too much space!)
- Look up some nearby vets before you leave and note down their contact details, just in case.
- Prepare water and food for the trip and make sure your pet has sufficient airflow on the journey.
- Have a safe/approved pet carrier or car seat belt device for the trip.
- Pack some favorite toys, and don’t forget leads and harnesses too!
