Sassy
Some animals stay with you, and Sassy is one of those animals.
Some animals stay with you, and Sassy is one of those animals.
Sassy’s journey with us spans nearly 10 years. First coming into our care in 2016, she briefly stayed prior to being adopted.
Then in 2018, she was seized by our Inspectorate team. She was gentle with people, fond of treats, hopeful, always coming forward to greet you and finding a warm patch of sun.
We counted for 486 days -- 1 year, 4 months and 1 day -- waiting for the right home.
When she was finally adopted, it was pure joy. A sense of relief and happiness and optimism that things will finally work out for Sassy-girl.
Earlier this year, Sassy returned to our care. It is incredibly hard to see an animal come back through our doors, especially one you remember so clearly.
Sassy had untreated skin allergies that were clearly impacting her quality of life.
Our Kennels Team Lead, who had known Sassy from her earlier time in care, stepped forward to foster her. From the moment she saw her again, she knew this time would be different.
Sassy is now living out her days in comfort. She is happy, settled, and deeply loved.
