It’s funny watching the kennel staff at RSPCA ACT when you mention Max. Because as a shelter, many dogs have behavioral blips that we try to fix but not Max. Our staff just melt with responses like, ‘Oh Max is such a darling; Max is such a good boy, etc”
You get the picture. He’s a great dog, loves people, loves other dogs and at just 9-months old, he’s got a long life of joy and friendship to offer.
Being a Kelpie, he’ll need an active owner and if we are being picky, his ABSOLUTE perfect home would be with another dog who can play with him and form a bond. What a perfect home that would be.
If you and your family tick these boxes and are wanting a new dog to keep your current pooch company, head to the shelter and ask for a meet-and-greet with Max.

Sweet Trixie needs a special kind of love; the type that a true cat lover can give. You see, unlike Max (above), Trixie has one or two ailments that a good owner will need to respect.
First the good: she’s sweet, she’ll follow you around and be your mate. Great company. However, she’s not too fond of being picked up and constantly petted. And she will take a little while to warm up to you.
Trixie is a FIV positive cat, but she wants to live as the only cat and a companion only to you. But all we’re really talking about here is patience. Be patient with Trixie and she’ll be a terrific pet.
You can meet Trixie at our cattery and whilst there, ask about our ‘Leave To Settle” cats. These are cats who are quite shy, they’re not on display because a busy shelter overwhelms them.
