Pets of the week

Let’s meet two eager youngsters waiting to be adopted into loving family homes.
Oh and of course, RSPCA ACT is open today, tomorrow (Saturday) and again on Monday so there’s still time for you to fall in love with either Indi or Jackson and give them a home by Christmas.

Pawnote: A special Merry Christmas and Thank You to all who’ve taken time to read this article each week and then talk about the animals with your family and friends. You have most likely helped one of hundreds of animals find forever homes and we, along with their owners, are truly grateful.

Travelling with Pets

It’s the holiday season and we love that pet owners include their pets when taking a family vacation. To keep your pet as safe as possible on holidays, here’s a few things to consider.

Hot weather

If you notice your dog excessively panting, rapidly breathing and increased heart rate, pale or red gums, drooling, vomiting, diarrhoea, dizziness, weakness, lethargy, confusion, muscle tremors, seizures, little to no urination, or collapse, it could be heatstroke. Administer first aid and seek veterinary attention asap!
